Custom Engraving FAQ

Have questions before placing a personalized order or requesting a quote? Here are the most common things to know before starting a project with CRC Engraving.

Can I order just one personalized item?

Yes. Ready-to-personalize products like engraved pens, metal keychains, tumblers, and cutting boards can be ordered online when they are listed as buy-now products. Add your engraving text, include any design notes, and request a proof if needed.

Do you offer bulk engraving for businesses or events?

Yes. CRC Engraving can review bulk engraving requests for business gifts, logo items, event products, team gifts, client gifts, promotional items, and repeat orders. Bulk pricing depends on the item, quantity, artwork, engraving area, and project details.

Can you engrave my business logo?

Business logos are welcome. Clean vector artwork is best when available, such as SVG, AI, EPS, or PDF files. High-resolution PNG or JPG files may also work depending on the design. If the artwork needs review, send it with your quote request so the engraving path can be checked before production.

What should I put in the engraving text box?

Enter the exact text you want engraved, including capitalization, spelling, names, dates, initials, or short messages. If you have a preferred placement, font style, layout, or special note, add that in the design notes field.

Can I request a proof before engraving?

Yes. If a proof is needed, select the proof option or mention it in your notes. Proofs are helpful for logo placement, longer text, layout-sensitive gifts, and bulk orders where the design needs confirmation before engraving.

Why are some products quote-first instead of add-to-cart?

Some projects are better priced after review. Bulk items, logo engraving, customer-supplied items, unusual materials, and deadline-sensitive jobs can vary based on quantity, artwork, setup, engraving area, and project complexity. A quote-first flow keeps the pricing and expectations clearer.

Can I send my own item to be engraved?

Customer-supplied items may be possible, but they need to be reviewed first. Material, coating, shape, replacement value, engraving area, and risk all matter. Please send details before bringing or shipping an item so the project can be evaluated.

Will the final engraving look exactly like the product mockup?

Product images may include digital mockups used to show engraving style and placement. Final engraving can vary slightly based on the item, material, coating, size, and layout. Real product photos will continue to replace mockups as the catalog grows.

Can you engrave copyrighted characters, team logos, or branded designs?

CRC Engraving can review customer-provided artwork, but customers are responsible for making sure they have permission to use logos, designs, trademarks, or copyrighted material. If a design appears restricted or unclear, it may need to be changed or declined.

How long does custom engraving take?

Timing depends on the item, quantity, artwork, current workload, and whether a proof is needed. If you have a specific needed-by date, include it with your order notes or quote request so the project can be reviewed properly.

Can personalized items be returned?

Because engraved items are made to order, returns or changes may be limited once production starts. Please review spelling, dates, names, and design notes carefully before ordering. If there is an issue with the item or engraving, contact CRC Engraving so it can be reviewed.
